It was previously reported that the sexual assault charges against Alberto Del Rio were dropped and the case against him was closed. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Del Rio held a press conference in Mexico City on December 20 to discuss the investigation.
He said the charges being dropped proved he was “totally innocent” of the claims from his ex-fiancé and he has footage he could release that would get Paige fired from WWE if she ever spoke about him in public again.
They dated between 2016 and 2017. He has stated in the past that he previously signed a confidentiality agreement with Paige.
