Earlier this week, WWE announced that Nikki Cross was added to the SmackDown Women’s Title match between Bayley and Alexa Bliss as that contest was changed into a handicap match.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, this was not the original plan and the addition of Cross was a late change because Bliss has a “real bad sinus infection.” This was the reason that Bliss absent from TV this week.
Bliss took to Instagram earlier today to let fans know that she is ready for Extreme Rules. She wrote the following:
“After being the sickest I think I’ve ever been in my life for almost 2 weeks… @cynsationalbeauty came over to make sure the pink & tone was touched up on my hair for #ExtremeRules. Thank you @cynsationalbeauty @capelliloft!!”
