Several wrestlers have become free agents as of January 1, 2024, after their contracts expired with their respective promotions, including Andrade El Idolo, Deonna Purrazzo, Shawn Spears, Alex Hammerstone, and Kamille.
Andrade El Idolo is expected to immediately re-sign with WWE following his departure from AEW.
QT Marshall has left AEW, following a disagreement that he wanted to wrestle more instead of only working in the front office or training.
Shawn Spears has also parted ways with AEW.
Alex Hammerstone is gone from MLW after requesting his release halfway through last year. Hammerstone had several years left on his deal, but he reached an agreement to work the remainder of 2023.
Deonna Purrazzo is now a free agent following the expiration of her Impact Wrestling contract. Purrazzo is considered a “top free agent” and her Impact exit was amicable. She is expected to sign with another promotion soon.
Finally, Kamille left the NWA after five years with the promotion and a two-year reign as Women’s Champion.
