Andrade El Idolo has called out Dave Meltzer over Meltzer’s opinion on his work ethic during his bout against Kenny Omega at TripleMania XXIX.
During the clip, which you can hear below, Meltzer said that Kenny Omega was trying to have a great match against Andrade and implied that Andrade instead was sleepwalking through the match. Meltzer’s exact words were:
“Kenny Omega and Andrade, and it was not as good as the Christian Cage match. It was, I mean it was a good match, but it was, it was not a great match and it felt like Kenny Omega was working to have a really good match, and it felt like Andrade was working to have a good match.”
Andrade El Idolo would take exception to Meltzer’s comments, replying to a tweet of the audio. Andrade would say that Meltzer “hates” him and will never speak well of him or his fiancée [Charlotte Flair]. He said,
“That man hates me and will never speak well of me or my fiancée but all the fans love him for the garbage that comes out of his mouth. I’m a pro and I showed it yesterday and LA SOMBRA is back to show everyone I’m better than waiting for a stupid star rating. (DM)”
