During this week’s episode of Dynamite, Andrade made his official debut for AEW. The former WWE Superstar came out during a segment that involved Vickie Guerrero and Mark Henry. Originally, Henry was cutting a promo about his future in AEW and whether he was going to wrestle again. He wound up being interrupted by Vickie Guerrero, who introduced “Andrade El Idolo”. Andrade cut a brief promo and revealed that he would be the new face of the company.
El Idolo was released from WWE back in March and did not have the standard 90-day no-compete clause.
El Idolo vs. Kenny Omega for the AAA Mega Championship will take place at TripleMania XXIX on August 14th.
