Fightful Select is reporting that WWE has talked about bringing in Kairi Sane as a surprise entrant for the Women’s Royal Rumble Match. It has not been confirmed that there are plans in place for this to happen.
In 2020, Sane announced that she was leaving WWE to move home to Japan and retired from pro wrestling. She has since been working as a WWE Ambassador in Japan.
It was reported earlier this month that Sane’s WWE deal is set to expire in February. However, WWE sources have said that it is “not a done deal that she’ll depart the company,” but most of the sources expected Sane to allow her contract to expire.
