Another Title-Holder Pulled From WrestleMania 36, WWE To Change Things Up On Tonight’s Taped SmackDown?

Another angle might need to be taped, if it hasn’t been already, to be inserted into tonight’s taped episode of Friday Night SmackDown to explain the cancellation of another WrestleMania 36 title match, as a current title-holder on WWE’s blue brand has reportedly been added to the growing list of WWE Superstars who have been pulled from this year’s two-night WrestleMania pay-per-view.

In a follow-up to a previous headline suggesting that more wrestlers would not be wrestling at WrestleMania, PWInsider.com reports that The Miz will not be competing at the PPV, thus inferring that the scheduled SmackDown Tag-Team Title match will not go on as scheduled.

It was not noted why Miz is out, but on Wrestling Observer Radio at F4WOnline.com, Dave Meltzer noted that he was feeling sick.

It’s unclear though what will happen with the tag team title match – obviously the titles can’t be defended but WWE did have a scheduled Usos/New Day match for tonight with the winners getting a title shot. With the title match off, the Observer report added that The Usos were “upset” at this, so perhaps they were going to win and get the match.

It’s also interesting to note that The Miz is not working WrestleMania 36, as Miz being sick was reportedly among the reasons Roman Reigns gave to WWE to explain why he pulled out of WrestleMania, where he was originally scheduled for a WWE Universal Title match against Goldberg on the card.

As noted, Braun Strowman will be replacing Roman Reigns against Goldberg in the WWE Universal Title match at WrestleMania 36.
