Arn Anderson: I Hated My Backstage Job With WWE

Arn Anderson worked with WWE for close to 17 years, but the legendary wrestler did not enjoy his backstage role with the company.

After WCW’s demise in 2001, Anderson was hired by WWE the following year and worked as a road agent and producer behind the scenes.

Speaking on his ARN podcast, Anderson explained his issues in WWE, saying he hated his job there.

“If you want the truth, I hated that job. I hated being in charge of matches that I had no power or authority. I was responsible for the end result. If the story that was told or the physicality was not good, the finish wasn’t good, whatever, Vince chewed my a** out.”

Anderson was fired in February 2019 after being blamed for allowing an intoxicated Alicia Fox to compete at a WWE live event.

In December of that same year, Anderson signed a contract with AEW and signed a multi-year contract extension in June of the following year.
