RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss successfully defended her title in the first-ever Women’s Elimination Chamber match last night. She will go on to WrestleMania to defend her title in New Orleans. “Little Miss Bliss” could be defending her strap against Women’s Royal Rumble winner Asuka, who has yet to announce who she wants to face at WrestleMania.
Originally it was reported that Asuka was expected to face SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. Wrestling Observer Newsletter‘s Dave Meltzer reported that Asuka would face Flair while Bliss defended her title against Nia Jax at WrestleMania. This is why the stipulation of the winner being able to choose who they want to face at WrestleMania was added to the Royal Rumble match. PWInsider now reports that it’s looking like Bliss will be defending her title against Asuka instead.
It’s very possible WWE has changed their plans and Asuka vs. Bliss is what we’ll be getting at WrestleMania, leaving a ton of possibilities for Charlotte Flair’s WrestleMania plans. We’ll keep you updated…
