— We reported earlier this week here on eWrestlingNews.com that the Bludgeon Brothers (Luke Harper & Erick Rowan) stopped using their first names on Tuesday night’s WWE SmackDown! Live broadcast. The two men are now just being called “Harper” and “Rowan”. WWE dropping their first names is part of an ongoing trend as wrestlers such as (Antonio) Cesaro, (Adrian) Neville and (Alexander) Rusev are all no longer using their first names.

In an update on this, Vince McMahon is the man behind the change. According to sources, McMahon feels that Harper and Rowan using only their last names will make the team come across as “more dominant”. So far, the team has been portrayed that way on TV, as they took out The Hype Bros with ease on consecutive episodes of SmackDown! Live.
