As seen at Sunday’s WWE No Mercy pay-per-view event in Los Angeles, CA at the Staples Center on the WWE Network, Brock Lesnar successfully retained his WWE Universal Championship against Braun Strowman.

Lesnar will be off of TV for the next few months. He is not scheduled for the TLC pay-per-view that takes place in his hometown of Minnesota on October 22, 2017, at the Target Center and is also not working the Survivor Series PPV event in November.

Dave Meltzer noted the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns still seems to be the plan for Wrestlemania 34 as it has been the long-term plan and has been rumored since around Wrestlemania 33. Meltzer noted there were two guys that were rumored for matches against Lesnar earlier in the year. That would be Finn Balor and Seth Rollins.

Meltzer would go on to speculate that Balor could be the next opponent for Lesnar when he returns, which will likely be in January for the Royal Rumble PPV. Rollins currently being paired with Dean Ambrose as the Raw Tag Team Champions and is expected to challenge for the title before WrestleMania 34.
