As we’ve noted, Apollo Crews was pulled from the Money In The Bank Ladder match with a storyline injury. According to a report from WrestlingNews.co, this will lead to a heel turn for Crews.
It appears people backstage have been trying to convince Vince McMahon to do more with Crews. Crews was largely absent from WWE television before the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with the limited roster WWE has during this time, certain undercard wrestlers have been receiving more TV time on Raw. Superstars that Paul Heyman is a big fan of are getting the most of it.
Names like that include Crews, Cedric Alexander, Ricochet and more. Per the report, a source said “They are turning him. He was going to turn on [Chad] Gable before Vince decided to move him back to Raw.” The report adds that there are plans for MVP to return as a manager for a stable, but it’s unknown if Crews will join that yet.
