Here is an update on the current status of Mauro Ranallo’s relationship with WWE. Believe it or not, there are said to still be open lines of communication with regards to Ranallo potentially returning to the SmackDown commentary team.
It was previously reported last month that Ranallo and WWE officially parted ways. Ranallo was also quoted as saying, “WWE and I have mutually agreed to part ways. It has nothing to do with JBL.” Additionally, a WWE spokesperson also confirmed Ranallo’s departure from the company, but he would remain under contract until August 12th.
There is no confirmation that Ranallo will make a return to the commentary desk, and WWE and Ranallo did reach an agreement where he would be paid by the company until his current contract expires on August 12th. Ranallo noted earlier this month on Twitter that two months ago, “I left my dream, I’m about to be busier than ever.” You can check out that tweet below.
