As seen in recent weeks, Ace Austin hasn’t appeared for Impact Wrestling since an episode of Xplosion last month. Prior to that, he worked the Bound for Glory pay-per-view event.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there’s “no real story” for his absence. The company doesn’t have anything for him right now and don’t want to have him lose to people who are involved in storylines. So for the time being, he’s sitting things out. He has been backstage for all of the recent TV tapings but hasn’t been used.
