Sunday’s AEW WrestleDream 2023 pay-per-view event in Seattle, WA featured some incredible matches, including the AEW World Tag Team Title #1 Contenders Fatal 4-Way Match.

Competing in this match were The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson), The Gunns (Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn), The Lucha Brothers (Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo), and Orange Cassidy & HOOK. The AEW EVPS came out victorious.

Despite sustaining an injury in a recent Dynamite match with Jon Moxley, Fenix worked the WrestleDream bout.

However, he was limited to one spot and kept out of the ring to sell a shoulder injury, as Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that AEW wanted to save him for his upcoming match against Nick Jackson on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite. Although Fenix could have worked the full match at WrestleDream, they decided to play it safe.
