According to sources, the deal to have Awesome “Kharma” Kong debut at the AEW “Double or Nothing” pay-per-view event was far from a last-minute decision. With that being said, only four people knew that she would be there. The deal was made four months ago but kept to just those few people’s knowledge.
Kong says that Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) gave her a motivational speech backstage just before the match to help her find her persona for her first in-ring appearance in almost two years. Kong last appeared during a “Bar Wrestling” match against Taya Valkyrie in July of 2017.
