Braun Strowman was among the wrestlers to be released by WWE this week. Strowman signed with WWE in 2013. His last match came at the WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view in the Triple Threat with Drew McIntyre and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.
Strowman signed a new deal with WWE in 2019 that was supposed to run through 2023.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Strowman was on a $1.2 million per year guaranteed contract, which doesn’t include bonuses for merch, video games and other extra bits and bobs.
