According to a report from Sportskeeda’s Gary Cassidy, the reason there weren’t any matches announced for RAW until about an hour before the show going live was because the show wasn’t thought out until today. Vince McMahon reportedly didn’t look at the script for the show until this morning when he got on the WWE corporate jet to fly to Orlando, FL.

When talent inquired about this week’s show on Sunday night, they were told that McMahon had not read the script and were still waiting for the final call from him. As many of you know by now, last-minute rewrites and chaos backstage have been happening more and more these days. According to reports, the two names spearheading the writing team for RAW are “not up to the task of getting the show done in time” and are not getting talent input in a timely manner.

One person said, “Raw has really fallen apart without [Paul] Heyman driving the creative.”

Of course, Heyman was removed from the RAW creative team back in June. Both creative teams were consolidated under Bruce Prichard. Ed Koskey works alongside him on SmackDown.

As far as RAW is concerned, it’s Bruce Prichard, John Baeckstrom and Ryan Ward doing most of the writing but Vince McMahon often re-writes nearly the entire show.
