Paul Heyman is certainly one of the best talkers in the history of the professional wrestling business and has worked with several top stars, including the likes of Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and others.
Reigns successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing Match at SummerSlam 2022. It was a wild match that featured several memorable moments, including when Lesnar hit Heyman with an F-5. Since that time, Heyman hasn’t been on television.
As previously reported, Heyman has stayed off television because the idea is for him to sell the injuries he suffered while taking the F-5.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that despite not appearing on television, Heyman has been backstage at SmackDown and major events.
Reigns most recently defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Drew McIntyre last Saturday at the Clash at the Castle event. Reigns is not booked for Extreme Rules on October 8th.
