News on why WWE didn’t sign Tessa Blanchard in 2017 has surfaced online.
This comes after the story that was started on social media on Saturday about Blanchard and another wrestler during their time in Japan. Blanchard was accused of being a bully and a racist.
Dave Meltzer noted on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Impact Wrestling knew about these allegations when they signed her and her having limited options at the time is why it was easy to sign her.
Per the report, everyone within the Impact knew about the stories regarding her history but this wasn’t going to change the plans of putting the title on her.
Meltzer brought up how WWE didn’t sign her to a developmental deal in the past after working the Mae Young Classic because of “attitude issues.”
