We have some news on how AEW is handling some of the talent who are working with the Ring of Honor brand.
According to a report from Fightful, some of the wrestlers who worked the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view event back in July, and who have worked in ROH-related angles in AEW, are not signed to “tiered” or full-time talent contracts.
There are also said to be several former ROH talents who worked Death Before Dishonor who remain free agents. One talent who had previously been under one of the “tiered” deals is Josh Woods. Just last week, it was announced that Woods has now signed a full-time, multi-year contract with AEW. The Kingdom and Bandido are also said to be working on full-time deals.
As of this writing, there is no word on if Bandido has put pen to paper on his contract. The Kingdom have all officially signed on the dotted line for full-time contracts. Some of the talents who have recently signed with the company will be used for Ring of Honor going forward.
Additionally, Dalton Castle reportedly hasn’t been signed to a full-time contract as of this writing. CB, aka Cheeseburger, is also said to be a free agent.
AEW President & CEO Tony Khan is expected to make an announcement on the plans for Ring of Honor in the very near future.
