Dave Meltzer noted in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the segments were scrapped a couple of weeks ago due to the latest COVID outbreak among some of the extras from the Performance Center that were used.
Dabba-Kato and Arturo Ruas were sent to RAW. The fear about bringing in people as extras comes down to it potentially starting another outbreak
Thus, the idea is that NXT talent should be kept away from the RAW and SmackDown roster as much as possible.
