While NJPW announced the participants for their New Japan Cup tournament earlier this week, they wound up cancelling the events due to the coronavirus. For what it’s worth, Jon Moxley, who worked NJPW’s G1 Climax tournament, was not included in the list of names that were announced.

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Moxley is not expected to do anything on NJPW’s major shows going forward due to his AEW commitments. Moxley is the current IWGP United States Champion and last worked NJPW’s “New Beginning” event in Osaka earlier this month.

Hiromu Takahashi is staying in the junior division. Also, Lance Archer wasn’t announced as he’s now signed with AEW.
