Earlier today, WWE announced Matt Hardy vs. Randy Orton in a No Holds Barred Match for Monday’s episode of Raw.
This comes after WWE booked Hardy in an angle this week on Raw intended to write him off WWE TV due to him not signing a new deal with the company as his current contract expires on March 1st.
Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that WWE’s creative team felt Orton vs. Hardy was a great match to book since the angle was well-received by fans. Thus, they decided to extend this part of the story another week.
It was also noted that Hardy passed on the latest offer from WWE last week and there’s heavy interest from other promotions.
3 days ago, I suffered the worst head & neck trauma possible. A normal man would be out for months-I’m fighting Randy Orton on #RAW. My life & career are both currently in limbo. I also have a powerful, ancient spirit trying to possess me. I AM UNKILLABLE. https://t.co/qplBdm24SR
