Shawn Michaels is currently a writer and producer in WWE NXT, a role he’s had since at least 2018, but his influence in the brand might have grown in Triple H’s absence.
Dave Meltzer reported on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that with Triple H more focused on healing, Michaels has basically taken over the direction of the former black and yellow brand. It was also noted that WWE officials are very happy with Michaels’ work.
It should be noted that WrestleVotes reported last week that WWE was very disappointed internally with the brand, which has seen its ratings and audience decline since the NXT 2.0 revamp started several months ago.
