We can now confirm that WWE recently contacted Kurt Angle, MVP, Carlito and Stevie Richards regarding the upcoming Brand Split and a possible return to the company. Angle confirmed that he would be returning to WWE during an interview last week on Mark Madden’s radio show. Angle said Paul “Triple H” Levesque called him to see if he was interested in returning and he was told “they’ll get back to him.”
As of this writing, no contracts have been signed but the feeling is that Angle would not be able to work a full-time WWE schedule. Unless they use him in a non-wrestling role, he’s likely going to get a schedule similar to Brock Lesnar and Triple H. WWE has done a complete 180 turn regarding Angle as they have always said since his departure in 2006 that they would never bring him back.
