Roderick Strong hasn’t appeared on WWE NXT television since October, while his last match happened in August.
It’s been reported that Strong is unhappy with the promotion. At one point, there was speculation that he may reunite with Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Bobby Fish in AEW. Fish has since departed from AEW while Kyle is on the sidelines after undergoing surgery.
During today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Strong is still under contract with the company and hasn’t been quietly released. This is a case of WWE choosing not to use him at this time.
