WWE struck gold earlier this afternoon with the announcement that NBC Universal has purchased the rights to the “WWE Network”, bringing the WWE Network to NBC’s Peacock streaming service starting in March. With this move, the new pricing guide will be as follows:

$4.99 a month for the WWE Network with ads.

$9.99 a month (the current standard fee) for the WWE Network without ads.

In a report by Fightful, several WWE Superstars had some interesting reactions. One Superstar said they didn’t know about the move until it was announced to the public, but also said this would be a “massive” deal for WWE.

The initial first impressions seemed to be about the additional amount of people that will be able to see the WWE product now. Another Superstar said they didn’t care about the move to Peacock unless it would affect their pay, but did say that it was a great move by the company to align themselves with NBC Universal.

Talks had been ongoing about WWE moving the Network to another provider but no one could’ve predicted that it would be with NBC Universal. One important thing to note is this move will only affect subscriptions in the United States.
