The reaction behind-the-scenes in WWE to tag-teams being split up in this year’s draft has not been favorable, to say the least.

Fightful Select is reporting some of the backstage reaction among talent to moves made in this year’s 2021 WWE Draft that saw tag-teams getting split up — seemingly for no reason.

According to the report, there were several people in the company who pushed for teams to stay together, and in the end, AJ Styles and Omos seemed to be the only one that “didn’t fall upon deaf ears” in terms of decisions that ended up being made in the WWE Draft.

Tag-teams that ended up getting split up in this year’s draft included Veer and Shanky, T-Bar and Mace, Natalya and Tamina, as well as Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox.

There were apparently instances of people asking what the reason behind some of the drafting of individuals from tag-teams from a storyline standpoint, only to be told that “it wasn’t that important.”

When asked if it would be followed up on during the show, they were reportedly informed that “it had yet to be determined.”

Additionally, the report indicates that some of the talent didn’t learn of plans for their tag-team to be split up until first discovering it on social media.
