According to Prowrestlingsheet.com, Alberto Del Rio is reportedly in the middle of a bitter divorce battle. Court documents filed at the end of June by Del Rio’s wife Angela Velkei state that their marriage ended on May 27th due to adultery. Discord or conflict in the marriage is also mentioned in the document.
The May 27th date is two weeks after Del Rio and Paige went public with their relationship. Of course, this will lead to some speculation that Del Rio’s wife found out he was cheating on her with WWE women’s wrestler Page. Del Rio states that their marriage ended in June of 2015, claiming that Angela was “guilty of cruel treatment” towards him.
Velkei’s attorneys have asked the judge to issue a restraining order to limit contact between Del Rio and Velkei. According to Del Rio’s attorneys, the coupled was married in Mexico and they believe that country should have “dominant jurisdiction over the proceedings.” They are also requesting that Velkei undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
Both sides are looking to gain full custody of the children as well as ownership of their house and her car.
