Backstage Report – The Rumored Reason Hideo Itami Debuted On Last Night’s WWE RAW Broadcast

As seen during last night’s WWE RAW broadcast, former WWE NXT Superstar Hideo Itami made his main roster debut. The debut took place one day before his well-hyped WWE “205 Live” debut. According to sources, Itami’s debut was moved to RAW because WWE feels they need to do more to make the cruserweights stand out, especially with their upcoming tour. The company wants to get more fans to “care about them.”

It should also be noted that ticket sales for the WWE 205 Live brand live events are not selling well. The idea is that by having Itami debut on RAW and aligning himself with Finn Balor, he may seem “more important” to fans and it will increase ticket sales. As previously reported, Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt will be taking place at the WWE 205 Live brand house shows. This was done to add more “star power” to the events.
