TNA’s lawsuit against Scott Steiner is no more. PWInsider reports that the judge in the case dismissed it with prejudice on February 22nd in Nashville, Tennessee. The “with prejudice” determination means that TNA cannot re-file the case down the line.

The lawsuit was initially filed by TNA in June of 2012 after Steiner claimed that he breached his TNA contract (which had expired by that point) by making public potshots against the company, Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and Bruce Pritchard. TNA sought damages as well as an injunction against further disparagement.

Steiner had denied that he ever agreed not to disparage the company or that trashing TNA would breach his deal. He said he was not involved in a “concerted effort to disparage” TNA or its officers and that he had ignored requests to stop. He said that he was offered a new contract but chose to turn it down and never executed the deal.
