According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the material from Otis during his ongoing storyline is coming directly from Vince McMahon. Vince is said to have become a huge fan of Otis’ character and has been responsible for most of his side of the angle.
Former WWE creative team member Andrea Listenberger, who was released from WWE during the recent cuts, had been writing Otis’ promos and was said to have been a very good writer. With that being said, she was not the “driving force” in the storyline.
During a recent interview, Mandy Rose revealed that she’s the one who pitched the original storyline idea to McMahon.
