According to a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE has had several internal talks regarding a potential “Global Warming” pay-per-view event. The PPV would take place in 2018 in Australia. The recent talks involved possibly holding a Global Warming II event in October at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The first Global Warming tour took place in Melbourne in 2002 and drew over 50,000 fans. According to sources, the company reportedly wants to top that number, which makes the Melbourne Cricket Ground a good choice as the venue can hold 100,000 people. The event would air live on the WWE Network.
With that being said, nothing is official as of this writing but “things are headed in the right direction.”
