There are some reports on several pro wrestling news websites that Yoshihiro Tajiri has signed a full-time WWE contract and will continue working for the company following the ongoing Cruiserweight Classic series. As of now, there is no word on if WWE wants to keep him as an active wrestler on the main roster, in a backstage role or as a trainer at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. As previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, WWE is seeking former stars for the upcoming brand split so anything is possible right now.
Tajiri left WWE in 2005. While he made a brief return for “ECW One Night Stand” in 2006, but hasn’t appeared for the company since. Tajiri has had stints in TNA Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling and Wrestle-1 since leaving WWE. It’s rumored that he finished up with Wrestle-1 just last week.
