PWInsider reported some backstage news about Drew McIntyre’s return and plans during the 2022 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.
It was said that Drew’s return was a surprise and it was kept from almost everyone. This was helped by the fact that The Scottish Warrior arrived late at the venue, which itself is so big that it allowed him to hide very well, to the point that nobody expected his return before he showed up in the Gorilla position before his entrance.
Additionally, a person involved in the men’s Royal Rumble match said the men’s Rumble match plans changed “literally 20 times” over the course of Saturday before and even during the show.
Kurt Angle was rumored to be in St. Louis, MO. We can now confirm that the WWE Hall of Famer was present backstage and filmed material for the WWE Network.
