On today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about some behind-the-scenes plans for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship. According to Meltzer, there is talk backstage of having Nikkita Lyons capture the NXT Women’s Championship.
Meltzer did note that WWE doesn’t plan on pulling the trigger on a Lyons title run immediately, and maybe not for a while. Lyons made her debut in NXT 2.0 earlier this year, after signing with the company last year.
Mandy Rose is scheduled to defend the Women’s Championship on tonight’s episode of NXT 2.0 against Roxanne Perez. The show will be broadcast on USA at 8:00pm EST.
