According to a new report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is still some time for WWE to put together another all-women’s “Evolution” pay-per-view event for later in the year but WWE has not announced anything as of this writing. For what it’s worth, WWE did not announce the Evolution PPV for October 2018 until late July of last year.
With that being said, the timing of the event was to try and “make good” for WWE’s women not being allowed to perform at the highly controversial “Crown Jewel” event in Saudi Arabia last year. Of course, the women lost out on a big payday after they were not able to work that show and there was a feeling within WWE after the 2018 Evolution event that WWE had to make it an annual event.
There is some speculation that WWE may not be doing an “Evolution” pay-per-view event in 2019 if WWE is able to book the women for their next events in Saudi Arabia. The rumor is that the event will take place on May 3rd. Of course, it will be up to the Saudi government and the Saudi General Sport Authority if the women will be allowed to perform.
