In an update on why Bully Ray signed with Ring of Honor and didn’t return to TNA iMPACT! Wrestling, the reason is because he was at odds with the creative plans the company had for him. iMPACT! Wrestling officials then decided to move on to Alberto El Patron when they couldn’t agree to terms with Bubba. Several people were under the impression that should Bully Ray have signed a deal to return, his real-life girlfriend Velvet Sky would have returned as well.

For what it’s worth, Drew Galloway was first planned to win the iMPACT! Wrestling World Title but decided to leave as he felt disrespected during contract talks. Galloway was followed by Bully Ray for the World Title plans. When both of those guys couldn’t agree to terms, Alberto El Patron got the spot.
