As we reported earlier today here on eWn, Ace Steel has been released from All Elite Wrestling. According to a report from Pwinsider, Ace Steel was fired on Tuesday after the internal investigation coming out of the backstage altercation during the All Out post-media scrum.
Most within the company believed they were officially done working with Ace Steel after he was fined for cursing on television just a few days prior to All Out 2022.
One talent on good terms with Ace Steel stated that Steel’s fate was sealed because the bite marks on Kenny Omega’s arm were so visible. Additionally, a veteran told Fightful that it was a “no-brainer” Ace Steel would be released from the company.
Additionally, the parties involved in the altercation have been “more in contact” with AEW than they’ve been for a while, though the details around that aren’t certain. Punk was shown on AEW TV for the first time since All Out during an ROH Title montage on Tuesday night, and the Young Bucks were featured in a Rampage commercial. The Elite were also mentioned as the inaugural AEW World Trios Champions on the show.
