Backstage Update on Bobby Fish’s Injury on NXT



UPDATE: According to a report from Pwinsider, Bobby Fish was removed from the WWE NXT Tag-Team Championship match as there was concern that he was injured. Following the show, he was seen walking around backstage and appeared to be doing “okay.”

As of this writing, WWE has not commented on the injury.

ORIGINAL: During Wednesday night’s edition of WWE NXT, Bobby Fish suffered an injury and was replaced mid-match by Roderick Strong.

Fish was part of the opening match, featuring him and Kyle O’Reilly defending the NXT Tag-Team Championships against Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic. As soon as the injury occurred, they immediately cut to a commercial break and when the show came back on, Roderick Strong was out there in street clothes.

The announcers noted that Fish was out due to “medical reasons.” The commentary team later revealed that Fish was injured when Lee threw both him and O’Reilly out of the ring right before the break.
