UPDATE: WWE Superstar Bobby Lashley will be headed to Birmingham, Alabama once he gets back to the United States to get his shoulder looked at by Dr. James Andrews. As many of you know, Dr. Andrews has done many surgeries in the past for WWE talent and athletes all over the world.

As of this writing, there is no word on if Lashley will miss RAW on Monday. The original plan was for a Bobby Lashley vs. Seth Rollins match to take place at WrestleMania 38. For storyline purposes, WWE is running with a “concussion” angle where Lashley is now in WWE’s “medical protocol.”

ORIGINAL: According to former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide, Bobby Lashley’s concussion angle at the Elimination Chamber premium live event was put in place to cover a legitimate injury.

Speaking on ‎The Ringer Wrestling Show, Famuyide reported that Bobby Lashley is set to undergo shoulder surgery after sustaining an injury against Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble. Lashley is now set to be out for a serious amount of time. Famuyide said,

“I have under good authority that Lashley is shoot hurt and has been hurt since the Rumble match. If you’ve noticed, he hasn’t worked any Raw’s. He hasn’t really defended his title. He was shoot hurt at the Lesnar match at the Rumble.

“From what I’m told, it’s for at least 4 months. Shoulder surgery. I’m hearing that he might not even make it to Mania.”

WrestleMania 38 is scheduled to air over two nights from April 2nd, to April 3rd. In which case, if the timeframe for Lashley’s return of “at least 4 months” is proven to be accurate then it’s unlikely he will appear at the show. Famuyide’s comments contradict previous reports that Lashley will be facing Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38. It remains to be seen whether Lashley can continue to work through the reported injury until WrestleMania 38.

If this report is in fact proven to be true, all of us here at eWn wish Bobby Lashley a speedy recovery.
