Io Shirai, who returned to WWE at the 2022 SummerSlam pay-per-view event, has a new ring name.
While her entrance was still using the name of Io Shirai, she was referred to by the announcers as Iyo Sky.
According to a report from Fightful, Shirai’s contract was set to expire soon and the company had no plans to use her in WWE NXT 2.0 following her injury. While it hasn’t been confirmed that she’s signed a new contract, one source said “it appears so.”
