A new report from Fightful has offered an injury update on SmackDown’s Madcap Moss, following his scary incident at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event. During the match between Moss and Drew McIntyre, Moss landed on the top of his head when taking an inverted Alabama Slam. When taking the move, Moss tucked his chin, as opposed to taking the move flat.

The report notes that there is no heat on either wrestler. Drew McIntyre is held in high regard for being a safe worker. WWE officials could tell it wasn’t an error on the part of McIntyre.

McIntyre was said to have been very concerned for Moss, who assured him, the referee, and Happy Corbin during the match that he was fine. When Madcap Moss headed backstage, he didn’t seem shaken up by the incident. He instead responded to numerous people checking on his status, and also personally apologized to Vince McMahon, McIntyre and the agents that produced the match for the incident.

There was also a lot of concern backstage in the Gorilla position, before Madcap Moss’ status as being okay was confirmed.
