More details have come to light regarding the reaction behind-the-scenes to the recent mass WWE talent cuts.

According to Fightful Select, Drake Maverick was viewed by his peers as someone who was always willing to make the most out of any situation that the company gave him.

Since his return to the main roster following his last release, Maverick has mostly been involved in the WWE 24/7 Championship picture. As far as Tegan Nox is concerned, after her WWE main roster call-up from NXT, she was among those who weren’t actually clearly told which brand they would be working on.

The report also notes that she first learned of her tag-team with Shotzi Blackheart after reading about it on social media.

Jaxson Ryker is the most unique case of the bunch, as he reportedly had an “incredible amount of heat” backstage in WWE and even “laid low” after the initial issues began to die down, however there were a lot of people who didn’t like that he was the reason for Wesley Blake and Steve Maclin being taken off of WWE television.

Things weren’t made any better when he ended up returning to WWE TV before they did. From that point, it was assumed that he would be cut from the promotion sooner, with one particular source within WWE creative noting that his character wasn’t getting over with fans when they returned after the pandemic era.

Many viewed it as an “uphill battle” for him to elicit a reaction from the crowd.

We will keep you posted here at eWrestlingNews.com as updates continue to surface regarding the latest round of WWE talent releases.
