In an update on Sami Zayn’s current status with WWE as the manager for Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura, he is not injured and was cleared to return months ago.
The reason for his current status isn’t due to any injury and it’s just that “that’s his role” at this time. WWE officials are very happy with his mic work and are sticking with it for the time being.
With that being said, Zayn has had a history with a shoulder injury and they could be keeping him out for now as a precaution, but he is cleared by doctors to compete if WWE wants him to do so.
