UPDATE: In an update on our original report (see below), tonight’s WWE SmackDown broadcast will be taped live. They may do some pre-tape stuff earlier in the day. Also, next week’s SmackDown will be taped on Saturday at the WWE Performance Center. RAW will then follow suit. WWE is planning to air more pre-taped content for Monday’s RAW TV taping.

According to Pwinsider, WWE is trying to get as far ahead for TV as they can because they want to have content going into WrestleMania 36. It remains to be seen whether WrestleMania 36 will be pre-taped or not but with multiples states now completely shutting down, it’s very possible that will happen.

ORIGINAL: According to reports from Post Wrestling and the WON, WWE has been talking about taping episodes of RAW and SmackDown, even WrestleMania 36, next week. Yes, WrestleMania 36 may be a taped show. This would allow WWE more time to edit production videos, etc.

While WWE has yet to confirm the report, there are rumors that WWE will be taping all of the remaining episodes of RAW and SmackDown leading into WrestleMania 36 next week. There has also been talk of taping WrestleMania 36 in advance. According to one source, it was “expected” to happen.

WrestleMania 36 will air over the course of two nights. Most of the matches will be taped from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL but several gimmick matches are scheduled to be taped at other locations. There won’t be any fans at any of these locations.

Of course, this is a very fluid situation with many changes taking place on a daily basis so stay tuned.
