As many of you saw on RAW and SmackDown this past week, the new RETRIBUTION stable debuted but they were all wearing masks and hoodies.
In an update on this, the group that tore up the ringside area on SmackDown were not the actual people who will be playing the characters in the long-term. Basically, they were just a bunch of extras who played the role for that one night. So any fans trying to decipher their voices, mannerisms, etc. shouldn’t be doing so at this point.
RETRIBUTION attacked a power generator on RAW and then came to SmackDown and destroyed the ring. As of this writing, there’s no word on who they are but WWE made it clear that one of the people in the group is a woman because she was attacking a female developmental wrestler. As you’d expect, they wouldn’t have a man attacking a woman and it didn’t appear that way given the way it looked on TV.
There are rumors that some of the recently released WWE Superstars from back in April may be returning. Of course, several of them have signed with other companies so they won’t be brought back. The group is expected to once again appear on this week’s RAW and SmackDown broadcasts although there is no word on when they will be unmasking.
