As seen on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Tampa, Florida at the Yuengling Center on FOX, Zelina Vega made her return to WWE to be introduced as the latest women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match competitor.
She then lost a short match to Liv Morgan. Vega had been released by WWE last November for reportedly breaching her contract.
Pwinsider.com reports people in WWE thought Vega shouldn’t have been released and wanted the two sides to talk.
That happened over a long period of time to the point where WWE officials apologized to her and offered her a deal to return. As to when this happened is not clear as one source noted it happened in May while another source stated it was much sooner than that but all sides opted to keep it quiet so they could strategize a return.
