Backstage Update On WWE Hiring Jeremy Borash – Who’s Idea It Was, What He’s Going To Be Doing

As reported earlier today here on, WWE has hired longtime TNA and iMPACT! Wrestling employee Jeremy Borash. According to sources, Triple H was the one who made the decision to hire Borash and will be working with the WWE NXT brand. As of this writing, there’s no word on when Borash will officially start with WWE. There is talk that it could come as soon next week’s WWE NXT TV tapings in Atlanta, GA. It is currently unknown if he will have an on-screen role. As reported earlier today, Borash could end up working with Matt Hardy, but that is not the plan as of this writing.

For what it’s worth, Borash signing with WWE will change iMPACT! Wrestling’s plans. At the most recent set of TV tapings, Josh Matthews was set to be transitioned out of his announcing role for an on-screen position. There were plans to put Borash and Don Callis together as the announcing team, but that won’t be happening now. It may be a case where iMPACT! Wrestling will have to edit out Matthews’ on-screen appearances on the new episodes of iMPACT! that were taped in early January.
